Applying to PULSE: What to Expect

Past Application Format (Subject to Change)

The PULSE application is designed to get to know you better as a student and future healthcare professional. It includes questions about your interests, experiences, and perspectives. Additionally, the application collects information about your previous program participation, availability, and willingness to engage with a mentor virtually or in person. This helps us ensure the best possible mentor match and prepares you to take an active role in your PULSE mentorship experience.

Questions for Prospective Applicants:

1. How do you hope PULSE can support you in your short-term and long-term goals? (around 250 words) (write or video)

2. If you’re comfortable, please tell us about your identity and any systemic barriers you face when accessing medical experiences. At PULSE, our mission is to serve students who have encountered such challenges, and your input will allow us to match you to a physician mentor with the most relevant guidance.
